| 13.1 | Altromastic is a specially formulated sealing compound for use where Altro flooring abuts edges, skirtings, wall surfaces etc, or where the flooring is cut around pipes, up stands or doorframes etc. |
| 13.2 | Altromastic is not recommended for use in trafficked areas as a welded joint will give superior performance where, flooring abuts drainage channels, access covers, quarry tiles etc. a clamping or welding system should be used. |
| 13.3 | Apply masking tape to the adjacent materials prior to the Altromastic being applied and remove immediately after filling of the joint. This will create a neat finish. |
| 13.4 | Surfaces must be dry and free from dirt, oil or grease. |
| 13.5 | Place tube in skeleton gun, cut off the end of the tube nipple, fix the nozzle, and apply a bead approximately 3mm in diameter using a forward motion. |
| 13.6 | Smoothing of the Altromastic can be accomplished by using a wet soapy finger before it skins over. |
| 13.7 | Altro will skin over in approximately 45 - 60minutes. Cure time 24 - 48 hours. Full bond 4 days. |
| 13.8 | Do not allow traffic on Altromastic for at least 12 hours after removing the masking tape. |
| 13.9 | Remove any unwanted Altromastic from the Floor Surface while wet, once cured Altromastic cannot be removed. |
