| 8.1 | To enable the self-coving of Altro safety flooring it is required that a PVC cove former be fitted at the junction of the floor and wall. |
| 8.2 | The radius of the cove former shall be agreed to prior installation. |
| 8.3 | Complete all sub-floor preparation prior to installing cove former. |
| 8.4 | Mark a line on both floor and wall the top and bottom of cove former. Keep all lines true and square to walls and fixtures. This will ensure a neat finish. |
| 8.5 | All internal and external corners of the cove former shall be cut at 45 degrees. Use a mitre box for accuracy. |
| 8.6 | Apply the approved contact adhesive to both floor/wall and cove former. Take care not to encroach over the previous marked lines, following manufacturer's spread rate. |
| 8.7 | After following adhesive manufacture's flash off times, install cove former to areas as required. |
| 8.8 | Once all cove former is installed, install Altro safety flooring as described elsewhere. |
