| 9.1 | Check the subfloor surface for cleanliness, flatness. Where required upgrade as necessary where deficient. |
| 9.2 | Trim a minimum
of 15mm off one salvage edge. The other salvage will be trimmed off later.
Cut straight, square and true. |
| 9.3 | Thoroughly clean all debris from subfloor. |
| 9.4 | Loose lay material 'face up' and align to previously marked corresponding join layout. |
| 9.5 | When laying out material the previously marked arrows do not align with one another. Install with arrows as (reverse sheet). Overlap seams by a minimum of 15mm with the cut salvage edge uppermost. |
| 9.6 | Allow material to relax in this position for a minimum of 10 minutes. |
| 9.7 | Trim the remaining salvage by cutting along the previously cut salvage as a guide. Cut straight, square and true. Once completed all seams shall be fitted 'nett' and not pressure fitted or gaped. |
| 9.8 | Mark on back of material area required to be used with contact adhesive. |
| 9.9 | Apply contact adhesive to back of material and vertical surface, following manufacturer's spread rate and tack off time. |
| 9.10 | Fold back (do not roll) material along one half of the area to be adhered. |
| 9.11 | Mix Altrofix
30 adhesive - add part B to part A. Mix thoroughly using a low speed electric
drill (650rpm), fitted with a mixing paddle for 1 to 2 minutes or until
uniform in colour with no streaks. DO NOT OVERMIX. |
| 9.12 | Pour entire contents onto floor and spread immediately using a 1.5mm x 1.5mm v notched trowel. The adhesive after laying shall be free of lumps, voids and ridges. The total floor area shall be covered. |
| 9.13 | Allow open time of a minimum 10 minutes to 60 minutes (dependant on atmosphere conditions) |
| 9.14 | Install Altro Safety Flooring into adhesive taking care not to trap an air between the Altro and the sub floor. Should any trapped air occur remove by pushing out by hand prior to rolling. |
| 9.15 | All seams shall be fitted nett; and not pressure fitted or gaped. |
| 9.16 | Roll the surface in both directions with a minimum 45kg multi-wheel floor roller to ensure complete contact of adhesive and to ensure air is completely removed between the back of the Altro Flooring and the subsurface. Always check proper transfer of adhesive between subfloor and material. |
| 9.17 | Repeat procedure for the other side following previous steps 6.9 to 6.15. |
| 9.18 | Trim Altro to all fixtures and fitting as required leaving a 3mm gap between Altro Flooring and dissimilar surfaces. |
| 9.19 | Important: Roll again in one hour, this will insure correct bond of adhesive. |
| 9.20 | Weights such as sand bags must be placed over any areas where pressure is required to keep the back of the Altro Flooring in the adhesive until the adhesive has set. |
| 9.21 | Once completed the total floor area shall be completely adhered. All joints must be fitted Śnettą not pressure fitted or gapped. |
| 9.22 | Remove any adhesive from Altro surface while still wet. Once adhesive has cured it cannot be removed. To remove wet adhesive use clean white cloth moistened with de-natured alcohol (methylated spirits). |
