Auckland Bone Marrow Transplant Ward

When the bone marrow transplant ward at Auckland Hospital needed a new shared ward, they gathered input from patients and their families for the input of the physical design. The clear needs were superior hygiene properties, impact resistance and ease of maintenance

22 new ensuites were built with the use of Altro Whiterock due to its hygiene properties. As the ward houses patients with very low immunity and for long periods of time, Altro Whiterock seemed an obvious choice.

The welding of sheet to sheet, floor to wall and thermoformed corners made for a watertight, easy to clean surface that achieves a group number fire classification of 2 when tested to ISO9705.
