Both Altro Stronghold 30, our specialist safety floor for commercial kitchens, and Altro Whiterock, our hygienic walls system, are Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) approved. HACCP is an international system for food safety management and a legal requirement in Europe.

Altro floors and walls are compliant to the highest level of building regulations across the UK.

Our safety and smooth floors achieve the highest ratings across fire test standards EN 13501-1, EN ISO 9239-1 and EN ISO 11925-2. Altro Whiterock achieves class 1 for fire test standard BS 476 pt 7 and class 0 for fire test standard BS 476 pt 6. Altro Whiterock and Altro Fortis Titanium achieve B s3 d0 against fire test standard EN 13501. Altro Whiterock doorsets and Altro Fortis doorsets are rated 30/60 minutes against fire test standard BS476 pt 22: 1987 clause 7. What does this mean for you? You can rest assured they will act as they should if the worst happens.

“To meet these standards we needed materials to be durable, high quality, easy to clean, and with proven hygiene credentials. We also needed to find the right doors for the new build. I have never used Altro Whiterock hygienic doorsets before, but after looking at other manufacturers, Altro was the only one that could make clad fire doors. They were very competitive on price too, so they proved to be the best choice overall.”

John Hurst, Chief Engineer, speaking about the installation of Altro Whiterock walls and doorsets, and the need to satisfy the requirements of the BRC food safety accreditation, at Greenhalgh Craft Bakery, Bolton.
